Cockleshell push closer

After nearly 2 months at sea the team of Cockleshell Endeavour are now under 200nm from finishing in Barbados. There was a concern about how much food the crew had left as they set out with 51 days of food and 5 days of meal replacement drink powders. About 2 weeks we had a conversation with the team about the risks surrounding their pace and potential shortage of food. The decision was made to keep back a few meals and snacks from every day after that to eek out the food a few more days. The crew are going to be very hungry when they arrive but they won’t be starving. We can’t wait to watch them tuck into a pile of burgers. Given their pace has been around 45-50nm per day it’s likely that they’ll be arriving on Saturday or Sunday and we for one can’t wait.
