Day 24 – New Years Celebrations

Happy 2025 to all our readers. New Year Celebrations onboard an ocean rowing boat can be a rather muted affair. Although this will of course be a unique celebration for all rowers and one which won’t be forgotten anytime soon. Rowing Stones were planning on cracking open one of the last remaining cans of coca cola and Ocean’s Elite were planning to record a podcast as guests for the Old Paratrooper.

One benefit of being on an ocean rowing boat through is that the temptation to drink to excess is eliminated, so there’s no chance of a hangover for our crews as they wake up on the first sunrise of 2025. This always helps when starting to push on and make some more miles towards Barbados. We’re expecting some days of good mileage from our teams this week.

It sounds absolutely magical. With so…
